You’re in charge
When you’re contacted for a hire, you can accept the schedule and agree on a hire price that suits you. Remember to ensure you are covered for insurance by the hirer or your own policy.
Your Payment is Secure
Before the hire begins, the hirer must deposit the agreed fee into the My Media Marketplace Trust Account. On completion of the project, the fee will be transferred to your account, less a 20% service fee.

WHO WILL BE HIRING MY ITEM OR PROPERTY?
WHAT ITEMS CAN BE LISTED FOR HIRE?
Film & TV producers, designers, advertising agency creative teams and photographers are always looking for THE next amazing location. They also have the creative ideas that call for trained animals, vintage cars, sailboats, hang gliders, beautiful dogs, even superbly restored antiques.
They’re also looking for original music tracks, new songs or sound effects and the newest, most exciting talent. It’s your chance to showcase your creative sound and begin to be recognised as a real talent.
Remember, by registering your music on My Media Marketplace , you create a time-stamped record of your creativity that supports your copyright ownership. That means no-one can use your sound or song without your approval, and paying for the privilege.
HOW DO I GET PAID?
If, during the hire, the producers wish to extend the hire, an additional fee should be negotiated and communicated to My Media Marketplace. The hirer must make the additional payment into the Trust Account immediately and these additional funds will be included in your final payment.

Helpful hints for new members
To get the best out of your FREE listing, try to present it in a manner that will definitely attract the interest of the hirer. Write your story with excitement, with words that paint a strong picture. Take and include plenty of photographs and if possible, include a short video. If you wish, My Media Marketplace can write your story, edit your photographs and video… or even take them for you. Please get in touch to discuss associated costs.

How to write a good listing description
Think about the real features and benefits you’re offering in your listing. If it’s a farm, include information about the history, the stock or crops you farm, the condition of buildings and any special features such as river frontage etc. Paint word pictures that excite and attract interest. If it’s a horse, write about its characteristics, its abilities, it’s character and what you love about it. If it’s a restored car, write about its condition, how it makes you feel when you are driving, and what you have done to bring it to its original condition. Let the reader sense your pride in your asset.

A (good) picture IS worth a thousand words!
Make sure your images and video clips are good quality and that they cover all aspects of your location or item. Images and video from your smart phone can work well. For a $100 fee, you can have your item raised to the top of the listing each month for three months. This includes a larger image (selected from your submissions) and our creative writers rewrite your story to maximise impact. Please contact us to discuss details.
